You must be very rich to have this personal choose.

Thanks for the concern everyone. We are still in recovery mode over here and working with YouTube to get everything restored. Will hopefully have a video (or at least an update on WAN Show) to share with you all ASAP, but we want to make sure we get the details right since smaller channels may rely on our experience to help harden their own security.

jasonycw got a reaction from Stahlmann in ASUS VG259QM dead sub pixel appear after just 1 month
I understand the probability part but it's 2021 now, not like the beginning of LCD era.

Most phone screens with 1440p and even 4k in 6 to 7 inches nowadays already, it's very likely you can replace your whole phone just with one dead pixel.
And high resolution TVs and monitors are everywhere, offering warranty for 1 dead/stuck pixel aren't that crazy since it should be a way lower chance then 10, 20 years ago.
At least AOC(in US) and Apple(most likely) can offer zero dead/stuck pixel guarantee.

ASUS says "By ISO 13406-2 standards, ASUS conforms to the acceptance spot level which lies between 3 to 5 bright/dark pixel defects"
But it's a pretty old standard dated back in 2001

And now there are difference classes available (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_9241#ISO-9241-302.2C_303.2C_305.2C_307:2008_pixel_defects) yet manufacturers tend to just use the "cheapest" option for their warranty

For me, this dead pixel is the first one I have seen in 7 to 8 years. All of my past cheaper monitors/TVs(home or office or family) never have this issue.
That's why I'm even more disappointed seeing one on my first "more expensive" monitor.

Seems new Braswell platform just change the USB driver standard which Windows 7 do not have.
There are posts from all board manufactures about how to install Windows 7 on Skylake (H110/H170/Z170/B150/Q150/Q170) and Braswell platform.

jasonycw got a reaction from Crowes in PC boot without display card fully running?
Hi guys, recently, I start having a strange issue with my PC.

During boot up, there is no bios loading screen on my monitor and the PC boot into Windows normally but just without display being detected.

Mouse and keyboard are working fine and I can login to Window. The only thing not working is my monitor.

I use my notebook to remote control the PC and it shows that the display are set to 800x600(like no monitor being connected) and in GPU-Z, it is default to show my intel graphic but not my GTX 780.

I can switch to my GPU in the bottom of GPU-Z and it shows it as a TITAN...

Here are the screen shot from GPU-Z

And it is also showing GTX Titan in device manager

    BUT!
This is not happening constantly, after I turn off my PC and restart again, the GPU is detected properly and both my monitor can work again. It is about 50% of my boot up become not this and 50% of my boot is completely normal...

Here are the GPU-Z screen shot when I can boot up normally

Anyone have an idea about what is wrong with my PC? I had tried google it but do not know what to search for and seems nothing was found similar.

    My Geforce driver is 355.60

Some good discussion in here, but I really don't like the way the OP was personally attacked. Everyone in this community is welcome to voice his or her opinion about the content we produce at Linus Media Group because that's how we improve.

With that said, the mix of low end to high end productsf is unlikely to change anytime soon, and the reason is that people are only interested in watching something new, and there's simply no innovation in the space.

How far back do we have to go to find a $100 graphics card that wasn't rebadged?

How far back do we have to go to find a $40-50 CPU cooler that performs any differently than every other $40-50 CPU cooler?

Why am I not making videos about this stuff? Because it's BORING AS ALL HELL. The cost reductions that these companies are achieving through better manufacturing are being offset by the ever increasing cost of raw materials, so that's why we end up with effectively the same price and same performance year after year after year in these commodity categories.

I actually just had a meeting internally and we're killing off all-in-one liquid coolers as a review category unless someone comes up with something truly special or that we haven't reviewed before (like a triple 140mm or something). Why? Because I'm bored of them, and apparently so are you:

That video has lower engagement, and lower views than most of what we've released in the last month even though it's a solid cooler.

The way I see it, my job is to make entertaining videos about interesting tech. You might not personally have any use for a smart baby monitor or a triple 34" Eyefinity setup, but did you watch the video? Was the tech interesting? Were you not entertained?

Ah, yes, now I remember. Yeah, you want to reduce red and green to equal numbers and leave the blue at 100. Reduce them until you see the yellow tinting fade. But you don't wanna reduce them too much as you don't want the white to be too cool. I hope that helps.
