Martin Noronha got a reaction from Merkey in Do I need powerful CPU for programming?
Hey, Merkey!
For programming and office work,
You actually don't need a high-end laptop with high graphics which will be too expensive for you!.
I would suggest you go with an i5 7200U because it's the best and I use it as well!
Hope I answered your question!
Good Luck!

Martin Noronha reacted to Linksys120n in Pc build 2.0 ryzen or intel
I have an 1800x with the exact same Mobo... I just have yet to boot it up for the 1st time...
also I bought the 1800x on day one hour one so I didn't know you could OC a 1700 and get the exact same thing...
Edit: I should say I am pro-ryzen on this one.
intel may get like 1 fps better in games but do you really care if you get 73 fps instead of 74 at 4k???

it also beats my 5960x, your point? for a few frames, OP will loose lots of performance. a 1700 can be compared to a 5960x/6900k fyi.

I got a CFW PSP-3001 with a 64GB memory card, very modified...considering I'd replaced the screen/battery cover and other things as well.

Still have my original 1000 and a 3000 I found at a garage sale last summer for $20, always keep one in my air travel survival bag.

It's huge in Finland at least. You can always find a Finnish "Sauna server". Same with CS:GO.

Ahhaa I still play Counter - Strike 1.6 and Condition Zero.
CS:GO is fun, but well childhood.... Nothing replaces it.

I still have more hours in CSS then CSGO 1300 in GO 1400 in css but soon it will no longer be true as I really don't play much source any more. I primarily used to Combat Surf in Source.

Freenas is great but you can use pretty much any OS really. Windows can do it (though its not free) and Linux can do it too.
What are the system specs?

Yes, because it's 100$ more
the 1600/1600x compete with the 7600k

I loved mine. I used to play Ben 10 on it. Good old days.

I like my PSP4000 from my childhood more. It is a Chinese fake I know, but it is a very cheap but very capable Android Game player, as long as it is not that hardware-dependent. It even has all sorts of old console emulators, like N64 and FC (i.e. Japanese NES) installed.
Looking back at it now (which surprisingly still works like new, just a bit dirty and battery don't last 30 minutes), it's "a compromise for a child", but also "a plastic box full of memories"

Yep.... I guess that's why PC Gaming is one of the most important parts of a TechGeeks Life!
