First return that one and get a USB to IDE adapter. The Sata to IDE adapters don't always work for whatever reason. USB should though.

Check the bios to see if you can switch between onboard graphics and dedicated graphics. I believe the board itself should have VGA or HDMI.

Honestly there's no point in buying any games for the Wii u, hakchi makes it so much easier to do things. Download nintendont and you got a Wii that can play, GameCube, Wii, Wii u, etc games. No point in getting stuff used.
