As a moderator of the Moonlight Discord, I must detest the Sponsor of Maximum Settings at timestamp 1:30:24 of the WAN Show Dec. 22nd 2023! They use the Moonlight and Sunshine code base as their backbone and then dump their support on the Moonlight discord! LTT Staff please take notice of this and also make a PROPER Video about Moonlight/Sunshine. This is an issue that the Moonlight community has been dealing with (especially from India) where a startup or such will blatantly rip off Moonlight and Sunshine code and give no credit to the original projects, marking the work as their own and then simultaneously dumping all their support issues on US!

Moonlight and Sunshine is an open-source version of basically the OG NV Gamestream protocol (SHIELD) that has since evolved and is continuing to evolve with the death/eventual death of NV Gamestream. If you have a proper combination of Host, Network, and Client hardware you can achieve as little as ONE FRAME behind the host system.

Have you ever wanted to be able to send and receive texts on your windows 10 PC when you have an iPhone?

    Well I found a way!
    all you must do is go to;

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/alienware-mobile-connect/9pmxq13q3lgp?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

    make sure your signed in,
add the app to cart, and checkout.

Then open the windows 10 app store app,
    make sure your signed in,
click the 3 dots icon to the right of you account picture,
    go to library,
    and install the app.

Then follow the "normal" setup, including the IOS app side, all seams to work including there "dell only driver for mobile connect". Its proof that its not exclusive hardware as I'm running it on an ASUS MB, nothing dell in the system in fact.... why they don't just make this a normal app is beyond me but i found a loop hole and I'm sharing it with you all

ETHREAL1 got a reaction from Tea-Sir in Corsair iCue to support asus motherboard RGB lighting control
So something missed by seemingly everyone at CES 2020 was that Corsair apparently announced that they are working with ASUS to allow for Corsair iCue to control the motherboard RGB lighting including RGB strips connected to the motherboard. (ARGB not currently supported but planned apparently)

Though it’s currently in beta and only supported on certain motherboards. (see links in Corsair forum post)

As a quote from the Corsair forum; (see link 1)

“As you saw from our [Corsair] CES 2020 announcement, we are now in a partnership [ASUS] to allow for their motherboard RGB lighting zones to be integrated in iCUE. This means that Aura Sync compatible motherboards will now appear in iCUE and allow all of their zones of lighting to be configurable together with your other iCUE-support devices. As part of this reveal, we will start the beta so you can get your hands on early access to start playing with the feature.”

This is a massive step in unifying the RGB ecosystem as with this it is possible to make a system where all the RGB can be controlled by one software with the exception of GPU lighting at this point.

ETHREAL1 got a reaction from Stormchaser2028 in Pcie 16x to duel 8x posible?
So I’ve been thinking about trying to do one of the smallest multi GPU rigs ever and I have an idea but I’m not sure if it’s posible...

can I turn one full pcie 16x slot into two pcie 8x slots?

so my plan is to take something similar to the dans case (i will probably make it with protocase or something) witch is an itx case and turn that 16x slot into two 8x slots side by side in the same place ware a duel slot video card would be, i intend to accomplish this by liquid cooling two 1080 ti’s and making them both single slot. But i dont know if i can turn that 16x slot into two 8x slots, that’s the current problem.

does anyone know if this is posible?

False. With the right code any OS or device can get infected. The ONLY reason you don't popularly hear about MacOS users getting viruses and the such is because hackers & programmers aren't writing software that is meant to affect that system.

Borderline anything is possible with code, using a mac doesn't make you impervious to viruses and the like. To think so is naive.

ETHREAL1 reacted to SpaceGhostC2C in Apple tells a judge their phones are only guaranteed to work for 365 days
A year doesn't seem like a long warranty, so much for taking pride in the quality of your product... In the EU, consumer electronics cannot offer less than two years unless sold as refurbished or similar.

However, as long as 1 year warranty is legal in the US, they don't have a case. The argument of the carrier contract is ridiculous: first, you can buy an unlocked phone directly from Apple, buying through the carrier is a (dubious) choice. Second, if you choose to buy from the carrier, it is the carrier who imposes the 2 year minimum contract in return for "financing" your purchase. Hence, if you think locking you for 2 years for buying a product with a 1 year warranty is wrong, it is you carrier you should complain to. You cannot just go to a store who offers 5 year loans, purchase the phone there, then tell the manufacturer that you "reasonably expected" the warranty to be 5 years, even if it's clearly written what the warranty of the product is in the relevant warranty booklet or whatever.
But if "I expected instead of reading" is to be accepted as an argument, then one again it should be aimed at the carrier, which is who designed the 2-year arrangement and therefore drove your expectations. It's insane to complain at a manufacturer based on the practices of your retailer of choice (just like it would be to blame the retailer for the faults of the manufacturer).

I've been using Windows 10 since launch and the only "advertisement" I've ever seen was the "get office" once, which is actually an app that sends you to the Buy Office page.
Compatibility? Everything runs just fine, even Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, which absolutely refuse to even start on Win7. "spyware"? Can be turned off. Constant updates? Oh no! Bug fixes and improvements. Who needs those? Also can be turned off.
