    Except you're forgetting that the FCC rulings aren't federal law. It has to go through congress to become federal law.

    Most servers with 2.5" bays are made for drives this thick. The largest of 2.5" HDDS is either 4TB or 5TB (I don't remember for sure) and is 12.5mm thick, which is what this SSD also appears to be.
