Tower Unite! For once in my life, my scans came in handymanshandle
  7. There's also 240p in the US, except I don't have to buy a plane ticket to get 720x240 content here.
  8. I want fucking 3:2 to come into existence outside of Microsoft Surface products! It'd literally be efficient as hell for my workflow of 720x480 content and, uh, cover art scanning.
  9. Source: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/02/lenovo-updates-thinkpad-lineup-with-1610-screens-and-more/ -------- Lenovo announced that they're updating some of their ThinkPad lineup (namely the X13 and X13 Yoga models) with a notable addition: available 16:10 displays with resolutions of 1920x1200 or 2560x1600. Lenovo is also adding 11th gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 5000-series products to the mix of these new ThinkPads, notable in the sense that AMD offerings are starting to appear more and more in higher end professional machines. They also are adding WiFi 6 and 5G internet support to both the X13/Yoga laptops, which certainly won't come cheap. Alongside that, Lenovo is also refreshing their T-series of ThinkPads with most of these new features, minus the 16:10 displays - which, on a series of laptops that offers HDR displays, can make sense. What do I think of this? I'm... uh... genuinely surprised that 16:10 is appearing more and more again. I've always maintained that it was an excellent compromise of the entertainment consumption usability of 16:9 and the excellent screen real estate-enabling usefulness of 3:2 and, as it turns out, more and more manufacturers are agreeing there. I beat all of you to the 2560x1600 punch sorry not sorry What's your thoughts on all of this? I'm kinda digging it myself.
  10. I'm not the biggest on 80s cars (and anyone who knows me can say the same thing), but that GN is fucking fresh.
  11. ...51C is hot? Pretty sure my PC likes to idle at that when it's hotter in my area. 51C under a gaming load is fucking excellent. ABSOLUTELY nothing to sweat at.
  12. Never said there wasn't work to be done on LGBT laws here, but at the same time, it's tough to argue that the way this country handles the majority of its laws - period, not just LGBT, are third-world. More of a mix of traditionalism and progressivism that doesn't seem to mesh very well.
  13. Guess what made it out of the hell that's known by the name of Birmingham, Alabama? Also, I'm impressed that my hand can hold this clamshell.
  14. That seems like a relatively cynical take, largely because of what state you live in can directly affect your treatment as an LGBT person. Many states have protections, many don't, but at the same time, there's also legally guaranteed protections for LGBT people concerning things like hiring for jobs.
  15. More or less you'd probably be date-capped to a Core 2 Duo or Quad (or an early AMD Athlon X4/Phenom) as a very basic browsing machine just on a rig alone, so that? To be fair, move up to 2009 and you can get a Phenom II X3, which will very competently take you through your internet needs even in 2021.

    I think I inadvertently normalized the ability…

Yeah, that's true. I thought out loud when everyone else was too scared to, but now that people know that it's acceptable to do so, it's become... popular?

I'm being a fair bit ambiguous because I suspect I could apply it to anyone (if that "everyone's a pussy" comment is to go off of, anyways), but yeah. There's been more than a few people handing them L's since I flamed them.

    That's not good...

Probably because you vented out what a lot of other people were thinking, and now that the cat's out of the bag people aren't afraid to chime in
