No where. Nothing major is going to happen. The same shit as usual will be coming from DC.

Ktk got a reaction from Velinzor in 1080p 144 hz VS 4k 60hz with gtx 1070
It's ultimately your call on a tradeoff: smoothness or resolution?

For competitive CSGO, 144Hz all day every day. Personally I see no point running it in anything higher than 1080p, especially if you're seeking to become more competitive.

    No comment on the rest.

Ktk got a reaction from gtx1060=value in Trump: Internet control belongs to US. Period
By now you've got to raise eyebrows whenever any politician is headlining with science or technology in the mix. As they are busy dealing with human issues (the effort of which shouldn't be understated), they often simply lack the time (or effort, that's for you to decide) to get a nuanced understanding of how things work. And having an incomplete or wrong understanding of something leads people to say weird things that have little bearing in real life.

So to headlines like this I just have to say "whatever".

Everyone would do well to remember Clinton, Trump, Stein, and Johnson are all over 60 years old..! (and nontechnical, obviously)
    (Johnson 63, Stein 66, Clinton 68, Trump 70)

One of the best ways to prove programming competence is to have an open-source repo that has function code. You can put whatever you want on a resume, every college kid will have X Y and Z more or less, but your extracurricular projects will set you apart from the average candidate!

You might want to start with the Laravel framework and make a "dummy" starter app with an online tutorial, like the infamous TODO list

Ktk got a reaction from ClobberXD in Visual Studio Express 2015 vs. Visual Studio Community 2015
Your use case seems to be exactly what the Express versions target, seems unlikely you'll have features missing unless you actually use dev assistant.

I also think a lot of VS lag, esp. on startup, is drive-related (lots of on-disk caching going on in my experience) so for future consideration don't worry so much about the CPU

You are correct - at times it takes around even 5 minutes just for VS to startup! Even if it's primarily disk-caching, most of it is unnecessary, since I only use C and C++ (and all the basic features of the IDE too). The CPU does affect it too, as the performance will obviously be leagues ahead with an i5 / i7, especially in compiling, building, debugging, Intellisense, etc.

    Thanks a ton!

    THOU SHALL NOT.
be advised to go with a crappy PSU.

go with a Xeon E3, H97 board, maybe a 212 evo and get something like a V650 Cooler master. or XFX XTR. Corsair CX's are shady as heck.
