Got the motherboard, and started some "modding" on it, and also did some modding to the case. Couple of pictures to keep the interest up

Probably going to go for the black and green theme, as you can see from the little altering I did to the motherboard. Gonna clean up the lines a bit, but not too bad for a start

All Parts have now arrived
 
First off I test ran the components on the box to make sure they all worked  which they did
 
next I Attached the CPU waterblock

 
then put it into the case and attached all the wires 

 
After that I Attached the tubing to the CPU and pump and added kitchen roll in case of leaks 
 

 
once I got all the bubbles out and confirmed no leaks i took away the kitchen roll and installed windows

Day 22 - Now that I have finished all the marking's of where I want all the holes to go for the fitting's I was ready to go to the next step. I marked the center of each whole with a pencil, got out the drill press and went to town! I started by drilling a tiny guide hole through all of the center marker's to use as a guide when using the special counter bit. I then used a 1" special counter bit to drill down 1/8" from the back side so the fitting nut would be flush when screwed in. After the 1" was counter bores were done I took a 7/8" special counter bit to go all the way through the wood to allow the fitting to fit inside the wood.



This image is supposed to be of the fitting sitting flush with the wood but this was my first attempt at it. You will have to wait to see later in the build guide of it sitting flush with the wood:thumb:

As much as they cost EKWB all the way their quality is pretty much the best for waterblocks and components

Loop cut and in,need to pull them all and bench polish the tubing,airbrush with a red candy finish and tweak a couple of the lines for perfect alignment before final fitting.
Nice and clean,simple and gives a perfect view of the hardware inside.Very happy with the layout!
And yes,I lost one of the o-rings for the 290x block,this is why the cover for the VRM bridge is off....
Now the perfectionist comes out in me,I cant stand hardlines that are not in line with points of reference,they have to be bang on! The rear tube from the GPU needs about 3mm lopped off the end where it meets the reservoir to bring it in line.
Sleeve is on its way too!
 



All in all a very clean loop indeed!

I know...I know.....
I have been busy with the EK build,but trust me,things have been going on in the back ground.
Namely....painting the GPU blocks and the XSPC AX rads.
The blocks started out clear and originally were just due a copper flake dusting and a clearcoat,sadly i underestimated the drag clear would have on flake and it pulled it. So that means a sand back and going with the case colours.
In this instance,black metallic,deep candy blue and copper flake.
The STRIX logo was infilled with copper electrode film.
They still need a little cutting back but the 1k Smart Acrylic I use takes an age to fully cure.
 

 
The rads got the same treatment too.
 

 

 
The EK build is due to finish very soon so I can get back to this beauty. I have to make the copper backplates and wrap overs yet for the GPU's,but at least I can block the cards now .
On the subject of paint,I have been asked a few times now for a spraying guide,I have just ordered a new LVLP gun which could be brilliant for hobby painters,low compressor requirements and very low material loss being the highlights.
When it comes,I will demo it.

We have no idea. The cards aren't released.

The build is at a very early stage and I have ordered a few tools and parts. After I receive them, I will have to design a few parts to print with my 3D printer. I have already printed some small items that I have designed, but until I do a test fit with all the parts nothing is final.

Good to hear My sata -> usb adapters are stolen from existing external drives but you can get them from t.ex eBay or from your local pc hardware stores

It's not that I don't trust Chinese stuff (I'm fairly confident more than 1/2 of all my components were made somewhere in or around China) it's that Aluminum + Copper do not mix in loops, and if those fittings are in fact non-coated/anodized Aluminum you're going to be in for a very, very bad time.
 
Most high-quality fittings are fully plated brass, Aluminum is avoided like the plague as most blocks and radiators are copper. Reputable manufacturers know better than to mix Cu+Al

Soft tubing looks good too.
I would rather have a soft tubing loop that doesnt leak than a hard tubing one that does...

Is it just me or do half the fittings look like really bad half oxidized non-coated aluminum? The anodized/coated stuff I might consider...not a lot to rave about otherwise.

@Ate Man, I can't wait @_@ but... occasional framedrops in bf4... really hoping a 3rd card and possible 6/8Gb variants soon will prevent that, but even then, future games on UE4 are probably going to murder my system at that res T_T

Under normal lights, very very close to the shade of my fans
under UV, its close, but EK UV green is more like fan



next test, Mayhem UV Green pastel
I just put a full Bottle of mayhem Green UV Dye in a 1 litter of Mayhem Pastel sunset Yellow and still no UV effect, I think it will be very hard to have UV effect with Pastel
will try to achieve the same green and compare to others coolant

I would personally like to thank all of you guys who have followed this project, and I hope that this project met or exceeded your expectations. I personally can say that I am very happy with the end result, and am extremely pleased with the performance of all combined components! With this said, my attention will turn back to the TJ07 project when I get in the CPU for that project, and I will start planning for my next upcoming project, which will feature a Limited Edition Silverstone Fortress FT02 ^^
 
I will also be doing a video tour my FT03 project, and if time permits do a montage Also, I might need your help with naming this beast. How does "Monolith" sound? What is your suggestion?

Finally! My WC-parts have arrived, finding out that I ordered some things wrong more on that later. First a lot of pictures of my current progress:

Completed with the extra thingie (forgot it's name), but it's the reason I kinda screwed my order up...

 
Card installed. My I/O-plate was kinda bent at the time, have to correct this before filling up the watercooling.

 
Decided to open up my Swiftech cooler/pump to try and make the sleeving better (you can see a little bit of the wires on the right) and can't figure out what the white stuff was. Can't get it cleaned really, but got the rest of the pump well cleaned.

 
This was messy (not anymore).

 
And now we have arrived at the problem. So I've ordered straight fittings, because I thought (didn't really looked it up), that the fittings would go straight up. As we can al see, this is not the case. Removing the extra block leaves the fittings straight down...So I've ordered some 90 degrees fittings today, hope they arrive saterday so I can testrun everything.

 
 
My cable-extentions for PCIe also arrived today. They are pre-sleeved, but tried to sleeve them for myself (wanted to add some red), but this isn't possible. Could order some extra connectors and stuff, but I need a new PSU when I order a second GTX780 in a few months. It will be a fully modular, so I will sleeve that one, too lazy now.
