For a good 300w PSU Yes it's sufficient. But for a non brand PSU like yours. Certainly not. I wouldn't risk it at all specially when a good 400w psu comes for dirt cheap price.

Getting blowed up by a brown person is way scarier than dying through your own stupidity or helplessness, though.

REDHOTIRON2004 got a reaction from Dobbsjr in Can we use nanotechnology to change one element to another?
First of all elements cannot be changed. They can only be compounded with other elements etc to form newer material like stainless steel.
Secondly, nano technology have nothing to do with changing the properties of any metal. It is simply the miniaturization of known process/technology through the use of exotic materials such as carbon nano tubes etc.
And lastly the only way an element be changed or created through fusion or fission.
Scientists were able to create Gold(Au). By bombarding some matel and changing it's nucleus or changing it's electron orbit( something on those lines).
But, the created gold metal was so much radioactive that it couldn't be used for any application.
Apart from fusion or fission. There is no known way to create a new metal. Metals are inert in nature.
Stainless steel is a material(men made). While aluminum, gold etc are metals that only occur naturally in nature and cannot be created by man in normal circumstances/process.

That one I can understand though: substance have to be analyzed by worst case scenarios to find out things like LD50 and LD100 and know if you're stupid enough to like try to O.D. on fake sugar packages could you actually do it. Is not that they were doing something stupid intentionally they just need to know what if you tried that FDA wants to know that before they deem a substance safe for human consumption because technically you can eat shit like Arsenic if the those is small enough and be relatively ok.

REDHOTIRON2004 got a reaction from Guest in If on a tight budget - do you buy new or used pc parts?
There are certain things to remember if you want to buy used product:
    1. Used CPU is the safest thing to buy. For Other things like GPU, PSU, MOTHERBOARD you have to be careful as they are more prone to fail.
    2. Always, try to get used products that are in warranty or atleast with a proper testing warranty from the seller. Don't forget to ask for invoice. Also, read the warranty specifics for a particular product from its website itself.
    3. Be wary of sellers that ship the products on buyers risk. Remember, you can do nothing if the seller did bad packaging and the product gets broken in transit. Ask for before and after photographs of the product. Also, ask the seller to do a transit insurance to be on the safer side.
    4. Out of all the computer components the PSU are actually more difficult to diagnose for problems as they go down gradually over years. So, avoid any PSU without warranty. Also, while SSD, and other solid state drives are safer. Mechanical drives or hardisk both internal and external are more prone to fail during transit. So avoid mechanical drives as well.
    5. Always get the shipping cost to your place before entering in any transaction. Bulky products like cabinets might seem attractive but once the shipping cost are added they become pricey.
    6. Always ask for the included accessories like the back plate of motherboard, original screws, stock cooler etc. These things are often left unmentioned. But, are quite important for the proper installation or functioning of the components.
    7. Ask for high resolution price, do a visual inspection. Never deposit the entire amount all at once until you are 100% sure about the seller.
    8. And last but not the least. Ask the seller to wrap the product in a lot of bubble wrap or thermocol according to the nature of the product before sending that through courier.
Just follow these points and you can easily order good quality used products at good price.

Improvements in processing power will happen. But visible improvements in graphical quality to the naked eye have slowed down as expected. It's the law of diminishing returns. We now have to render ridiculously more amounts of complexity just to make things look marginally better to the naked eye. So much so that it is often not worth it considering how much more processing power that takes for very little reward. It's very difficult to wow us now with graphics. Subjective aspects such as art direction, atmosphere and world building are now far more important. For example it's now more difficult to tell the difference between high and ultra settings in most games. Yet the ultra settings will run much slower...

    This was 1993 graphics- Doom

Eleven years later this was 2004 graphics- HL2

Imagine the pace of progress to go from Doom1 to Half Life 2 / Doom 3 in a decade! Just stop and think about that. Mind boggling.

In the decade since we have again made big strides but nothing compared to the above. And it's because of diminishing returns...

What i'm saying is that in a few years from now we may have GPUs that our 5x more powerful than a Titan X. But to the naked eye the games it can render will not look so different than what they do now.

The thing is, Crysis was worth it, graphically speaking.
If Hitman isn't as "shiny" as Crysis was when it cames out, then it will be just a bad port, like Batman still is.

As a 4690k user, i would say stick with the 4460 an h81. In gaming/daily tasks you wont be getting much more for the price premium.
Better off to spend elsewhere, so go get urself a better screen, cus thats what you will be looking at anyways.
Who cares if compression takes few seconds longer and and maybe 0-3fps less in games, if you have a crappy monitor.

Honeslty i dont know why people hate on the h81 so much, most of the features on the 97 chipset wont be used anyways. Just get one with a usb3 header(if your case uses front panel usb3)  just check that ur case doesnt. and a version with updated bios. Hit me up if you need help choosing.

REDHOTIRON2004 got a reaction from pedro69 in Is overclocking worth it?
Overclocking the processor is for enthusiasts that want to extract the last bit of juice out of the chip. It is not going to show any worthy change in your day to day tasks or even games. For eg a i5 4670k won't make any noticeable difference from i5 4460 in games. Most of the times its about bragging rights. Also, overclocking is not only time consuming. It also need more money to be spend for a small bump in ego like the additional custom air or water coolers, better and higher wattage PSU, along with costlier motherboard and processor. Also overclocking definately reduces the life of the components drastically.
Nowadays People overclock mostly due to hobby rather than getting actual real world improvements.
So until or unless you have additional money to throw. I would say its not worth it.
