m1cr0l got a reaction from Tristerin in Vega 56 long term
Considering how my r9 380 is holding up, I will say the vega 56 will probably do fairly well down the road. Regarding the VRM, I did tons of research on the topic already and read whatever forums/ reviews on the card I could find. It seems like the problem is still there and it all depends on luck for how severe the problem is. This is the only thing holding me back from buying the vega 56 right now.
The rtx 2060 with its new cores seems to be better catered for upcoming features which may be implemented in games. However seeing my gaming tendencies, it is unlikely any games I play in the foreseeable future will have such features implemented.

The question still stands as to whether or not I will get the vega 56 or rtx 2060. Temperature is my main concern due to the tropical climate where I live and ambient temps are pretty high.

Never expect Windows to have all drivers built-in. It doesn't work that way. Download drivers from your manufacturer's website. What you appear to need is mostly the chipset drivers, ethernet drivers and probably video drivers as well.

Yep, I downloaded it off https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10, I'll try a different flashdrive rightnow and see how that works out, thanks!

I'm just going to suggest what might help. Take out all the ram you have. Take one of those ram sticks and place it back in every slot you have on your mobo. after every reboot or failure pull it out and stick the stick in the next slot. Use only one stick if you have many.

Ok i found the solution. Basically I'm dumb and disabled HT mode under "advanced" settings. To anyone else with the same problem, change HT mode option to "HT mode/VHT mode" and should be solved.

Both builds are good, its more of a question on CPU and GPU. If its gaming you want then go with the i5 4460/4690k, but with GPU its a lot more debatable. The 280/280x is a card that outperforms the 960 by not that much but still does and is at roughy the same price. The 960 though has better power consumption, better driver updates.
    Hope this helps

The second one is better (the one with the i5).
But 280x vs 960 go with whoever is cheaper.
