Gronnie got a reaction from IAmAndre in Programming in C - returning a string from a function
I see a couple of problems with combined_parts:
    1. It's on the stack (meaning once you return it is out of scope).
    2. You don't give it a size (how much memory is/needs to be allocated?)
  2. Informative

OS drive is a 1TB SSD and storage pool has 7 4TB drives for data plus two 4 TB parity drives. Working for a storage company is neat, can buy drives for cheap.

This is true if the m.2 drive is NVMe. Not true if the m.2 drive is SATA.

Go ahead and use it, you will be fine.

If you are worried, install the Samsung Magician software and that will tell you how much total you have written to the drive. If you start getting close to 2000x the capacity of your drive, then consider replacing it (although even then you will likely be ok).

Woohoo just got offered a firmware development job at HGST. Hopefully it comes with a nice employee discount on drives and I can shoot for #1 on the list.

    Update:

    I have added 3 new 4TB drives and removed a 1TB drive.

    Total storage is now 48TB.

I also updated my original post a bit with a more recent picture of my rack.
