graphics Current Low-Level Cards Vs Old High End
Gabe replied to Catalonia's topic in Graphics Cards
Well recently me and @TheRandomness made a '2006' PC, and in it we installed two 8800GTXs, which despite their performance back then struggled to really do anything more than play games from the era notably Oblivion (which running in my system on a single 8800 got around 70 to 80 fps at max settings, a far cry from my 'low end' GTX750ti which gets an average 150 to 250fps during gameplay. This shows that the current GPU architectures perform better each generation by a large amount, maybe only the best of the best GPU of the last generations can compete with a respectable GPU before only competing with 'budget' gpus e.g the GTX 680 Vs say a GTX970 or R9 380. -
'running' I'd lean more to 'it boots and probably is okay'
-
Everything looks good, no incompatibilities I can see. And GTA at max settings on a 980 will be higher than 60FPS for sure I would expect to see it hovering in the 80s in terms of FPS.

HI!So I am completing an Arduino project and a requirement for this is that I need an Arduino Gemma + a Neopixel ring to be powered off a standard PC USB port, whilst being able to use the same cable to reprogram the Arduino over a 2m USB A / USB micro cable. An obvious issue with this is the current drop off at such a great distance (something that whilst using my R'pi I became all to familiar with), the reason Im asking for help is that I'm not sure if the Gemma will receive enough power at such a distance and function properly, and if not, is there any other methods of power I can use?; (that use the PC as a power source). I am aware that possibly DIY'ng a USB cable using thick speaker wire might be appropriate but as weight and mobility is also an issue this may not be so useful. Anyway here are the things I was going to use for the project: https://www.adafruit.com/products/2852https://www.adafruit.com/products/1222https://www.adafruit.com/products/2185Thanks!

So I am a big KLF fan, as of this I want to listen to them on spotify as I have a subscription. But they arent on there, most likely due to them being indie but I want to know if there are any other sites for digital downloads where KLF can be found! Cheers!
