Hello guys and girls of modding
 
Firstly I would like to send a massive thank you to Levik, who goes by the name baguette_2 on the sweclockers forum. Levik has kindly offered his services to this project, and is helping me with the cutting of the plexiglass window. 
 
 
 

 
 
 
I would like to update you all on the completed "armour", which is the top and side sections of the Fractal Design Node 304. With this panel I have created the armour plates from aluminium and painted them white. I then painted the top of the panel dark grey, and the side with 2 black strips and a big red stripe in the middle.

Things finished since last update:
Painting the top of the case with grey, black and red.
Attach aluminium armour to top of case.
Take photos of armour.
Plexiglass window design is completed, and has been sent off to Levik (Baguette_2) for cutting.
Created LED lighting for plexiglass window.
 
In process of doing:
Cutting Plexiglass window.
Installing plexiglass LED lighting.
 
Things left to do:
Install plexiglass window.
Final photoshoot.
 
 
 
This build is almost at its end people. The window is the final touch... The crowning jewel if you will! I am hoping for the window to arrive on Friday, or even latest on Monday the 23rd. The final photoshoot will happen before Christmas Eve, and I will be borrowing some professional lighting equipment from my work. I hope they turn out great

Since you have a soundcard, you should get a Beyerdynamic DT770 or 990 so you wont suffer impedance mismatch.

Trimble sketchup. It is a very easy and intuitive modelling system. There is a tonne of guides on Youtube to watch, but I would recommend you check out the basics of course first, then experiment for yourself. You might have to work with the program a couple of weeks to understand how things work and have an effective work rate. There is already heaps of computer components one can find and use from within their database, and it is dead simple to modify and used item to fit your needs.
 
I am a little hesitant about doing another shroud right away as it has taken a few hours (while on my lunch breaks at work) to get the bends right and get everything filed out. And then the shipping to Toronto is going to be more expensive than buying a Hummer. But if you can come to Sweden and pick it up, then I will consider it.

I am so happy that everyone is so involved with the planning process, and the build log is already more popular than my TJ08-E build!
I apologize again for how long phase 1 (planning) has taken, but I cannot help it. I cannot start the physical modding until the end of December as I already have too many other things to. So, please bare with me through this! Small panels I can probably start earlier though, but nob major work.
Once again, thank you to all who read this build log and that had put in input on what you think is best and original.

I know, right! But the colours are not 100% decided yet, and I am still considering a white case instead of the gun metal gray.
 
 
Teets are always nice! I will have a look at centering the rad a bit so the fans end up in the middle of the meshed door part. But it doesn't really matter if it is moved or not as the fans can not be seen through the original mesh which comes with the TJ07S door.
 
Just remember, keep those teets coming!

The prodigod is properly not going to feature the maximus v gene anyway, so i'm currently looking for a z87 m-atx motherboard for this build. What do you guys think?

I would say the Sniper because of the green and black layout. Not only will it match the titan/780/690/770 (idk which card you will use lol) but as well as the case with added green leds and fans. (:

The yellow looks really vibrant and attractive. I like it!

Got some 22awg wires which I plan to make custom 3 pin cables. It turns out 22awg wire is kinda bigger so I might need to play around with it later if its suitable or not. Hopefully shouldn't be a problem because I saw lutro selling 22awg so I guess it could work.

Because I only got gasket for 120mm sizes, I had to make my own gasket for the 140mm fan

Build is almost done, but I will need to get the custom ROG fan stickers to cover up the corsair stickers :lol:
 

 
I got 11 corsair fans in here at the moment, that means I spent ~RM800 just for fans bwahahaha. Only if my mum knew about it...

Oh & I am still waiting for Lamptron CW611, most likely by end of september it will arrive. No news on the GPU RMA yet, hopefully I can get it soon. Asus faster speed up the process...battlefield 4 is coming out soon
 

 
I had some minor problem with fitting the fan due to the cpu EPS cable. The cable was just slightly too thick. I could force the fan in there but there will be a slight flex to the motherboard & the connector so I didnt want to risk it. Decided to mod the corsair fan instead. Removed the rubbery material & cut of the lower plastic section 
 

 

 
Everything fits nicely now and I replaced the old tubing (not really old, just few weeks old). Now I am left with hooking up the leds to a 3pin connector & everything should be set. Just need to wait for gpu & fan controller.

In other progress, I have made the PSU backplate and the IO backplate into just one plate, instead of the stock two. I think this will clean up the backside a little bit. I have also started working on how to plumb the GPU pipes on the backside to the bottom compartment. I don't know when I can get some renders op of those, but it shouldn't be too much of a wait!

People are just being narrow-minded as usual, and spouting nonsense about things they do not understand - only things they've "heard". IE6/7/8 were not great browsers, but ever since IE9, it has actually been greatly improved and I would actually use IE11 over Firefox if I had to chose between them.
