So 2 of my friends were talking on our groupchat:
1: do you have big tv?
    2: i don't have a tv, but i have a 15" Notebook
1: why do you need so many notebooks?

For the entire school year last year whenever i went to the library to work on my comp sci hw the librarians would always look over my shoulder for some reason or other and whenever i did something "sketch" ie. open cmd or github they would smirk at each other, go get a teacher, and then attempt to convince them that i was being recruited into a terrorist organization and that he should call the cops and have me arrested for attempting to hack into the school network.

this happened yesterday. I walked into the library at my school, where the only three printers that students can use to print are. I walk in, the morning a big paper is due, and like 15 people are there freaking out because the printers aren't working. they are all yelling "get the tech delartment, quick!".... I take one look at the printers and I say with a smug on my face, "do you guys want me to turn the printers on? or would you like me to grab IT so they can press the power button for you." OMG I was laughing so hard.

I bought my parents a 1TB portable HDD to store all their pictures in. I was like, here ya go, you can backup all of your pictures and stuff here. My dad looks at it and is like, you usually buy me a little small thing. I'm like, yeah well that flash drive only has 16GB of storage while this thing has 50 times more. Then he says, so I can delete all the pictures from the laptop right? I look at the desktop, and icons of random pictures are everywhere. Some are atleast in a folder for that certain date. I look into My Pictures, and it's empty....

Did you finish and submit it?  I can't see names, it only records the time they finished.  I can mark it against my "key" and post it here so you can argue any of my answers if you want

Well, here's my "corrections" to whoever filled it in

not quiet the funniest story, but here I go:
I was building a rig for one of my friends in a nzxt h440, after finishing everything up, it posts perfectly fine and everythings works properly.
The next day he calls me that the h440 logo led was not working. He even asked if he should rma the case.
I told him that before he does it, I would take a look at it. Here comes the embarrassing part: i saw it didn't work (worked the day before) and opened up the case. I followed the cable leading away from the led, only to see that some part of this cable managment seems strange, after some more looking at the cable, i realize that there is a button on the back of the case to turn the led on or off.
I was baffled that i didn't recognize it on the spot. After my discovery, i informed my friend about the button. His excat answer: "oh, that button, that doesn't do anything, yesterday i was curious what it would do if i'd pusch it". Well turns out his computer wasn't even on when he pushed it, and upon starting the rig up, the leds wouldn't work.
I just had to facepalm, at him, not realizing what the button he pushed was for, and at me for taking so long to "fix" the problem, only to find out that there is a button.

that almost always happens to me when first starting a new rig. Also with that build, now that i think about it. It has grown to be the first thing i'll check if absolutly nothing is happening while pushing the button:)

To be honest I usually double check everything important, if the CPU is seated properly same with RAM etc. So these ''unimportant'' little things just slip off my mind.

I had a customer one day return her computer system that she called about saying it wasn't working.

She said "I plugged the speakers in and the monitor went black." I said. "Did you plug the speakers into the back of the computer?"
She said "No. I plugged it into the wall." I said "Ma'am it has power built in from the monitor and that the green cable is what goes into the green spot on the back of the PC." "Where did you plug it in at."
She pointed to the GROUND OUTLET on the wall power outlet.

Lets just say I politely pointed and showed her where to plug it in at. Gave her a replacement monitor at no cost since it was cooked. Thank god it wasn't her that was cooked.

Hello everyone, I'm a newcomer to this awesome community.
In my spare time, I decided to make an Android Boot Animation based on the LinusTechTips' new intro animation.
The bootanimation is 1080x1920 @ 30fps (playback smoothness may vary among devices).
You will require your device to be rooted in order to copy the bootanimation.zip file into /system/media (path may vary).

    Hope you will enjoy it.

I have an HTC One M8 in Gunmetal Grey, running SkyDragon's GPE 5.0 Lollipop ROM with a 2.5GHz overclock on the CPU and a 500MHz overclock on the GPU.

For most people, the first part is fine. When they hear the ROM part, they get lost, and when I talk clockspeeds they get even more lost.
