Motherboard temperature sensors in general can be kind of wonky. My H81M board is running a stock G3258 with a downdraft style cooler, so basically zero load on the VRMs, and yet it's somehow been steady at 132C for over a year now.

speccy is really bad with temps.

however, 112 celsius is not a worrisome temp for a motherboard, VRMs can be up to 125 before it's an issue.

It's most likely a sensor issue. Your PC would've probably shut down long before the chipset reached 112C.
I would suggest using HWiNFO or HWMonitor instead of Speccy as it's not particularly great with sensor readings and it hasn't been updated in ages.

    Time to change then

Adobe is now a mixed bag with some applications performing MUCH better on Ryzen 3000 over Intel and vice versa. But the 9700K does not make any sense whatsoever. Considering you can fit a 12-core 3900X. @LukeSavenije's build is optimal. Just get a 2080, though, since it's almost the same price. Intel's prices are currently far too absurd to even consider them.

I am in the process of planning a new build. It will be primarily used for video editing, using Premiere Pro, After Effects and AVID Media Composer.

    My criteria:
Edit 1080p footage regularly, with the capability to do 4K as time goes on (and run a 4K monitor)
Good airflow and cooling, whilst being fairly quiet when wearing headphones
Look somewhat decent. RGB header on mobo is nice.

The components I have decided on so far:

    Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz
    Cooled by Noctua NH-U12A
    ASUS Prime Z390-A LGA1151
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (Might go with 32gb later)
Samsung 970 Evo NVME 500GB (for boot)
Samsung 860 Evo SATA 1TB (for media)
RTX 2060 Super (idk which OEM, might go Founders edition because I actually think it looks good?)
Fractal Design Ion+ Platinum 560W (or something like that)
Fractal Design Meshify C with TG

Could this be improved in any way? Or anything that is just too OTTP? In theory, the CPU may be bottle necked by GPU for gaming. However, the amount of times I will game on this is minimal.

    Open to suggestions. Thanks

Define C or Meshify C. Both come with solid Side panel options, The Meshify C offers leading class airflow, while the Define C balances noise and silence.

They both also come in "Mini" versions as well. I've worked with both the Define C (black and white) and Define C Mini (purple). Both had the TG option (The Mini C has in in depth post in my signature listed under Purple Build)

Closest thing you are getting to a "network usb hub" is a raspberry pi with a usb hub.
    And some clever setup

Unless you have some other means of monitoring your system you should have it open anyway.

Afterburner needs to be running to apply the curve, just like it does with an overclock.

Yeah thanks guys! I just needed to reinstall the drivers! I think what happened was I installed the Windows 10 Nvidia driver whilst I was still in windows 8.1. So I uninstalled the Windows 10 Nvidia Driver and reinstalled it in windows 10, all is working now. Maybe try that momona5

    reinstall driver?

windows update in windows 10 conflicts with geforce experience sometimes
so sometimes the gpu driver will crash
restarting usually fixes that for a while

This actually happens on windows 8 as well. For instance, if you have in improper shut down, the drivers seem to get buggy with multiple monitors. Just reinstall, it fixes it for me. This is on Nvidia's side, not microsoft's.

Nvidia Control Panel hasn't opened for me once since I got my drivers working. Not really sure why though. The drivers seem to be working properly but attempting to launch the control panel does nothing. Not even a process as far as I can tell.
