So I'm moving home pretty darn soon and can finally move my computer out from the horrid little corner that it's stuck in and I was thinking I may as well go ahead and make it awesome at the same time.
 
Here's the rig I'm working with:

The theme I'll be running with are Changelings. Shape shifting bug-like villains from the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (yeah yeah). Primary colours I'll be working with will be turquoise/green and black and the finished build will feature commissioned art from one of the fandom's many talented artists.
 
The case I'm working with is a black Fractal Design Define R4. I've been running it for a few months in it's current state, really excited to finally have a chance to make it stand out.

So, there I was in the hospital last June, recovering from a micro-stroke....
Just a week earlier, I had decided that it was time to upgrade/replace my old PC. I suddenly found myself with a lot of free time to research what I wanted out of a new machine. My searching led me to LTT.
Six months later, I'm still in rehabilitation and physical therapy, and eager to get home... more than ever, since I've decided to build my own PC for the first time.
I've been computing in one way or another since 1978, when I took my first programming class in high school. We used a Data General Nova II mainframe, with an honest-to-God teletype and punched paper tape storage. Since then, I've had Apples, Amigas, Windows boxes since 3.1, SUNOS SparcStations, and even a Linux box or three. I've been an internetworking engineer (CCIE, even) for about 20 years.
But I've never built my own PC.
I've decided that if I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it right - and go big or go home.
Budget isn't a concern; I simply don't care if it's going to be "too much money for what I want to do," nor do I care about performance per dollar, or whatever you want to call it. My wallet isn't exactly bottomless, but let's just say I'm not overly constrained by the need to cheap out.
So right now I'm thinking I'd like to do an X99 system, dual GPUs, overclocked and water cooled, with SDD(s) and a decent-sized RAID array, contained in something like a CaseLabs SMA8. Modded, somewhat. Not heavily so.
A "theme" of sorts has been settling in my head. Olive drab exterior, white interior with various olive, grey, and black bits (since there's no way I'm going to try painting a motherboard.) And since naming one's build seems to be a thing, I thought I might call it the "Sherman" (yeah, like the tank) but then I figured that since it'll be OCed - "upgunned," if you will - a more appropriate name would be "Firefly."
So, that's as much as I've decided. Actual hardware selection is going to wait until I get back on my feet and get home, after which I'm going to dig right in.
TL;DR - hi, everyone.

I design with HTML and CSS and JavaScipt/jQeury and i use Brackets as software to write it in. Some clients use WordPress so i also use that but only for the clients, i like to code!
 
 
Well, i would learn HTML and CSS to make a basic website and then Javascript for making it less of a paper page on the web if you know what i mean. 
Just start with making a website for yourself, just a website where you can try everything you want. This doesn't have to be online but just a couple of files on your computer. Maybe make a website for people you know and get their feedback and improve on that.

I have set up my own little web-design/development business to make a little money and it has grown a shit ton and i love it! 
I have 2 websites due this month and 2 next month and i'm under pressure but i can work better under pressure! I have almost completely stopped playing games and being more productive. I've bought books about developing and for some reason i read trough a 400+ page book in 2 weeks (what is amazing because i'm as dyslectic as a door) and i understood everything. I love feeling productive and making people happy with taking the tech frustration of their shoulders. People in my town also know that i fix computers/laptops ect so i have to repair some here and there and i'm really getting my name out there. If it keeps continuing this way i'll have an income of around ~€300 a month! What is freaking crazy! I have found something i am good at and fucking love doing! (for the most part). When i have school, the time of leaving for the bus and comming back is 11 hours and every change i get i make myself productive, like making a page while riding the bus or answer an email from a client. 
 
And i coudln't have done this without this forum! Really! You guys (a few one in particular) have helped me soooo much!
Taking the time to respond to my fucking dumb and obvious questions and even going the extra mile for me! I seriously can't thank you guys enough! 
I remember 2 years ago i thought Java and JavaScript where the same and i replied to a post and you guys weren't dicks about it but instead linked me to resources to learn the differences! 
 
Even when it was not about developing and i needed to air some thoughts you guys where really supportive and when i'm reading back my old post i cringe so hard!

What Linus said isn't true, now I pay for the service that ComCast provides and when I pay for the service I'm obviously also paying for the bandwidth, I connect to Netflix and use them a lot that means I'm using my bandwidth that I payed for to connect to Netflix so I'm using the bandwidth not Netflix, the previous applies for all services and anything on the Internet.
 
Now if ISP can't provide what they are selling that is their fault not mine not Netflix not anyone else it's their fault for selling services they can't provide.
