rodrosenberg reacted to Chase Douglas in An Update Regarding LTX 2022
Due to what we've observed with other events over the course of the past year, we've made the tough decision to delay LTX until 2023.

This wasn't an easy decision, but with COVID-19 still affecting events worldwide, this is what we felt we needed to do. Our goal with LTX is to increase interactivity each year as we grow, and we feel that this isn't yet possible for us to do in a safe manner.

We want LTX to return, it's just a matter of when. We've been working on a lot of ideas and partnerships behind the scenes, and are looking forward to sharing those when the time is right.
Sorry for the bad news, we can't wait to see you all in person again.

Here is an example of how I configured my Empire Build

White, black and red a the colors you're looking for. I recommend using the carbon/red cablemod cables, white fans and all the other components should be red.

As for a red bar, I can only recommend the SATA-powered Coolermaster red LED strip:

You could also buy Star wars stickers on amazon and use the appropriate Sith themed ones.

For more modularity, I recommend you check out my RGB lighting control tutorial here

    good luck!

    Optional stuffs:
Overclocking (Only use with adequate cooling) Enable the "Advanced Settings" slider Open "Expert settings" Set the overclock to your desired level (medium seems to be best balance) NAS Storage Under "File Storage" set it to "Network Storage", and configure according to your network shares setup.

    Troubleshooting
Issue: I get a "wpa_supplicant" failed error. Make sure you set the correct WiFi SSID and password (they're case sensitive) Make sure your file is correctly named: "wpa_supplicant.conf" not "wpa_supplicant.conf.txt" When you go to try again, you must reflash the .img file to your MicroSD, as the wpa_supplicant.conf file is only read on first boot. More help: https://github.com/ccrisan/motioneyeos/wiki/Wifi-Preconfiguration Issue: My cameras framerate isn't high enough! Try overclocking your camera Pi's
    FAQ
Q: Can I just use a web cam instead? YES!, just plug it in via USB and the Pi should detect it as a system camera. However, Fast Network Camera mode DOES NOT work with USB cameras (only ribbon pi cams D:)

I think I got everything... if you have any questions, ask below

    ------

The first step is to decide what you want your setup to be, as you'll need to know how many parts to order. There is a few different options, and once you've chosen, click on the parts list for your respective setup.

    1. Single Camera w/o hub server
Parts list: Pros Least expensive setup Cons Lower attainable FPS/res 2. Single Camera w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros allows for future expandability higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons costs more (you have to buy a second Raspi) 3. Multiple Cameras w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons cost (lol, 2 cameras + hub is still cheaper than a Nest cam) 4. Multiple cameras w/ a desktop computer as a hub
This is a setup that you can build, but I haven't investigated it yet, so stay tuned on this.
My recommendation is to have a hub server regardless of the number of cameras to ensure the best possible image quality, but if your budget doesn't permit, a single camera w/o a hub server can still work decently.

rodrosenberg got a reaction from Mnpctech in How do you go about asking a company for parts?
@Mnpctech Hangout is a great place to start.

The two things that I tell folks when they ask are:
    1. What is the return for the company. for example (Can they show the rig at PAX?)  is the build log posted.
    2. Build it and they will come. Many good case mods can get to 80% more complete with out critical components then a sponsor can put a brand new Motherboard/GPU in and then use that build to promote it. If you have truly built an amazing mod they will want to put hardware in it.

If your comfortable doing it I'd be really tempted to measure voltage going to the pump when the noise is going and with out since the pump has no PWM wire ect it should only be a voltage/current issue

If you need any guides like how to take the train from the airport (IMO best idea, trains are pretty cheap and quick while taxis are like $10 for a km) just ask me
