So i'm curious what your guy's favorite game publisher is.
If you feel like it justify your reasoning.

For me it's 2K because Civ, Borderlands, and XCOM!

Adolphen reacted to Victorious Secret in FCC Approves Net Neutrality rules, reclassifies broadband as a utility (+ other NN updates/FCC rulings from the hearing)
Well, thats it folks. It happened. ISPs are now utilities under Title II, the FCC passed it by 3-2. Net neutrality is a thing.

Don't expect it to just be over, however. Many groups have strongly suggested that they will have lawsuits against the FCC over this ruling, what does it matter now that the FCC has a proper ruling in place AND most likely will have congressional backing from the democrats on this.

So the big vote is happening today and since its a pretty important topic I figured I would make one thread to keep all the news of today in order. I think its important and I think people should care about what goes on.

That being said, here is the first piece of news I've come across for the day, involving Google (and others) pushing the FCC to update their language on NN to prevent ISPs from having a loophole to abuse.

The loophole in question would have allowed ISPs to charge websites for sending content to their consumers. We can argue that this is a good thing AND we can argue that Google (and others) are flexing their lobbying power after seeing how the game is played; we can debate if thats a good or bad thing later but for now its a good thing in this scenario.

    Update #2
Ajit Pai is going all out against NN and is making some frankly embarrassing statements for someone who should be better educated in the issue at hand. 5 guesses as to which ISP is funding his next political campaign.

He claims that NN will hurt companies, which is ironic since stocks shot up when Wheeler announced his plans. Oh boy, someone is grasping at straws and edging closer to the "Think of the children" defence.

This tweet really says it all about what the opposition to NN is like.

    Update #3
FCC overturns state laws that protect ISPs from local competition

Municipal broadband networks could expand because of FCC's controversial vote.

The FCC is on a roll today, effectively telling ISPs to tuck tail and run with a new ruling to allow municipalities to run their own show and not worry about ISPs blocking their moves. Something that supersedes state laws (as it should, since some states have no goddamn idea how to actually run the show)

    Update #4

Okay, these next parts are from the Verge stream so thats the source, its mainly of Wheelers comments as he is dropping bombs and being fairly serious about this all (I guess he got tired of the speeches delivered by Pai)

    THE AYES HAVE IT.
    NN PASSED!

The vote passed 3-2, net neutrality as Wheeler wanted it (or as close to) has been passed by the FCC.

Overall, this went how many people hoped it would go. Wheeler essentially did this the entire time:

For those wondering what Wheeler is actually like, there is a nice background of the man and what he actually did before he became a FCC commissioner:

I'm looking at the 4 pages of DLC being referenced here and... they're all skins.

I sort of have a hard time getting outraged over this, because I really don't care about reskinned items/monsters. Granted, they're priced extremely poorly, but I'd hardly call the base game incomplete just because you're missing a different color scheme on some playable monster.

Adolphen reacted to watts300 in Dragon Age: Inquisition?
I've never played any RPG before (so that includes the first two Dragon Age games) and I really like Inquisition.    I don't have any prior RPG experience to compare, so this one is basically setting my baseline for future games.   But since I've never played RPGs, I'm finding it difficult to learn.  There are SO MANY things to consider.  Weapons, armor, weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, potions, crafting, looting... oh man it never ends.  I don't blame my difficulty on the game, though.  It's just very foreign to me.

The website www.dragonagekeep.com is for logging past events in play-throughs of Dragon Age 1 and 2.  When you sign into 3 with your account, the game adapts to the decisions that were made in the previous games and the story is different depending on what you did.  I think that's a genius implementation to create an immersive world. That's probably why some one up above recommended playing the first games before Inquisition.

But as I said, I like it, and I'm mentally committed to spending countless hours playing it.

If you have time, play Origins, then 2 then Inquisition. Origins is one of the best games I've ever played, albeit a little confusing and hard to master. DA 2 is repetitive (It has like 3 maps) but Hawke is my favourite bioware protag (Maybe Femshep beats Hawke, but not by much), and Varric is the best NPC (Although maybe Garrus wins, but it's more like a draw) of any game I've played. In terms of timescale, you're looking at 40 hours for Origins, 15-20 for 2 and I'm not sure for Inquisition.

Dragon Age is probably the best RPG series I've played.

    Hate is a strong word...

It's not an FPS. It's a story driven RPG.

Then don't play the game. It has an incredibly well written story and if you don't like the controls so be it. I wasn't a huge fan of the controls to begin with, but after half an hour it was great.
Don't complain about the entire game because of the control scheme. It makes you sound like a 10 year old COD player...

As it goes I downloaded the PhysX drivers and I'm now getting between 80-120 fps with spikes of 200fps in areas of low demand cheers for the fix. It's working for all the games which is fantastic. I won't rely on experience to keep the PhysX drivers updated any more.

The over heating with the CPU whilst overclocking I think is most likely to do with the setup more than a cooling issue even though the H100i is working not as well as I'd hoped I think I've probably not got enough knowledge about overclocking as I'd like and it might be me that's causing the issue.
Any help in finding helpful overclocking advice would be great.

Yeah, I totaly understand. Maybe there's something wrong with the radiator. I have a couple friends with h100i's and even after OC'ing, both have their cpus sitting between  60-70 at 100%. If you have a friend with one, it may be worth trying a air cpu cooler just to see what temps you're running at. What do your temps look like on avg.?

Eh, the cpu really shouldn't be giving you any trouble. What temps are you running at? I'm no expert on water systems, but it might be worth cleaning and reapplying newer thermal paste. I'm sure one of the fine gentlemen of the forums can assist you more with troubleshooting if you think it's something else

Is it a hand-me-down CPU? It will marginally shorten the lifespan, but that really depends on how hard you're pushing it and how cool you can keep it

It actually could be the PhysX driver. It is a known issue, that when installing Metro:LL from Steam, that it installs an older PhysX driver that makes framerates go to poopville, USA. Check which version you have installed from the nvidia control panel. it should be 9.13.1220, as that is the latest one.
