Have you considered looking at panels that are stable for overclocking? I'm sure you could get 80+hz that way on some monitors.

Do you really think the stutter is graphics/monitor related?
 
I have GTX 1080 + 144hz 1440p and I still get stutter sometimes but I believe it's the internet connection that causes it not the gpu/monitor.

I think it is, I have tried offline servers for practicing aim and am still having the same issues.

Your 850w PSU is good even with 2x 980ti's and your mobo is a good motherboard. As for the SLI bridge, unless you want a different bridge for looks then your good.

This is going to be one of the bigger updates, mainly because i forgot to add some bits earlier in the log
& iv also decided to cover my desktop lifting mechanism that i filmed some months ago.
 
 
So to kick it if I will start with the hinges that had been covered in wrap, decided to cover them as
they didn't look to match the desk in plan silver, for now there carbon but this could be changed to red
as the build progresses.
 
your thoughts on the carbon vs red for the hinges & speakers would be appreciated, but i think its best
to wait until the internals are completed.
 




 
 
Im using some motobike bolts from my old Honda, made from titanium like my leg, they should help reduce the weight lol
 


 
 
 
My friends was kind enough to move my desk inside the house for me, turned out to be more easy that expected with no damage
to report or broken bones
the heaviest parts was the 2 bottom sections, but after about 30mins they was all setup in my room & fit perfect
 


 
 
1st things on the list to do was adding the fans, RADs, RES & some wiring

used some mesh & tights as the filters again, this method work so well for me over the last 5 years I cant see me changing anytime soon,
& its a good reason to have some ladys stockings in my room
 




 
 
Quick test of the side lighting & some fans, the light bleed on the side lights has now been corrected






 
Fan controler I will be using, removed the white parts & now the LEDs on the front lightup red instead of blue.
just waiting for some Phobya logos that i will stick on the front
 




 
 
forgot to give this a clean, but this is one of the side compartments, covered in carpet, this will hold cables, gamepags & other bits that would
normally clutter the desktop
 

 
 
as I said before, the hinges & speakers are getting wrapped, im still unsure what wrap i will go for,
 




 
 
One major part of the desk thats not been mentioned before is the lifting mechanism im planing to use. 
via remote the motor will lift the glass top high enough for me to work on the inside of the desk,
but the glass can also be pushed together back if needed & rest on the speakers & top shelf nicely due to the 
carefully planed angles

Oh wow! We have similar parts. I see what you mean. I don't know what to change it to, though. I already have a banner being made too. I'll see what I can do. Also it's "rendering" not "riding" and I'm sure that there are other builds out there with similar names, but I know what you mean. I had not seen your build before creating this one, so I did not "copy" it if you know what I mean.

Good job on getting such a build for $300! The temps of the CPU are just fine, looking forward to the pics. 

Scratch builds always pique my interest and this one is no different, the case looks great already! The window made me think of the define series of fractal design, did you get the idea from those cases? Really looking forward to the updates, have fun building in it!

Update time!   Let's start with the introduction of my new sponsor, Corsair (special thanks to Jon and Joseph)!     First part of the package they sent me!     A Corsair Neutron XT 960GB!     It looks gorgeous! But I guess it won't be red for too long.     6 SP120 fans for the radiators.  Should I paint them too?   Still waiting for the last watercooling parts to come then I'll start the assembly of the loop!   Oh, and something came back from painting booth.   Some preview shots.       The assembly was flawless! Very happy with the result and with a nice paint this time!     Some preview of the rear of the case. Really love the ventilations! I still have to figure a little problem with the I/O bracket but should be ready soon.     I tried to fit the side panels for a preview. Working on a new way to attach them more easily, I hope I'll be able to show you more soon!

I second this I've used that motherboard with an FX 6350 and I couldn't get past 4.2 GHz which was its turbo speed. Everything else is good in your build apart from the mobo.

It'll burn a lot more than that if he overclocks. No VRM cooling at all.

Do not overclock that cpu with that motherboard. It will just burnout the motherboard.

To my knowledge it can sometimes make a minor difference when you're pushing your RAM to the absolute max. but even then the difference won't be huge. So I suppose Alex just did it for the great looks!

Case looks very Apple-ish

Looks great! Can't wait to see the finished build! 

1) GPU is out
2) Have mounted two, vinyl-wrapped HDD
3) Have changed the res from a 150 to a 250 and pushed it to the right.
4) Added an easier way to drain the loop (that's what the fitting on top of the front HDD is for)

Where's ur outlet for your bottom radiator? are u using the drain port on the rad as the outlet?
