Go to solution Solved by Grave,

Ohh yeah baby.. I'm feeling a win right here:

Great for everything, should be quiet for the most part, and is small. Would probably prefer a 120gb SSD + Be Quiet case fans over this, but it should be good.

Welcome to Week 24/25 of the LTT Build-Off! The rules and guidelines can be found here.

This week the challenge is to make your own version of the Honey Badger.

Budget: $1,400

Peripherals: No

Monitor: No

Submissions: December 20 through December 23

Voting: December 24 through January 2

Tips: The build should be ITX or  smaller mATX, and optimized for editing and/or gaming.

Winner: @Grave

@whatthe_fuzz

1. Is 16GB necessary JUST for gaming?

2. Is a 120GB SSD sufficient (I'm not really sure cuz I've never used one :P)

I like everything else tho.

there have been a few application needs that will utilize more than 8GB and from what i remember isnt the honeybadger an editing rig? if so 16GB is most definitely needed

as for the 120GB. ya most def. for boot+programs its more than sufficient

Ok I'll make some changes.

Tips: The build should be ITX or  smaller mATX, and optimized for gaming.

Not sure if this means editing AND gaming or just gaming but in a small but powerful form factor like the Original Honey Badger.

i just saw honey badger and thought of the original :P i'll make changes if needed

I meant for it to be just gaming, forgetting the Honey Badger was an editing rig too. At this point, I guess it should be gaming and/or editing, and no points off if it is not both.

Meh, included 12GB of RAM so It'll be good at both. 16GB is kinda out of price range unless I cut down on other areas

Great for everything, should be quiet for the most part, and is small. Would probably prefer a 120gb SSD + Be Quiet case fans over this, but it should be good.
