Project head box S powerful enough to drive HD 650?

Go to solution Solved by ShearMe,

HD 650 are not hard to drive, they are fairly sensitive. The K612 is more difficult to drive, but neither are unusable on normal sources (cell phones, mp3 players, etc).

Hello everyone just making this thread to ask if the project head box s is enough to drive the HD 650 with acceptable volume and SQ. i found this amp i bought a long time ago in my shed, so i am definitely not buying a new amp. Some people on Head fi forums said that it was not powerful enough and you wont get the best out of the headphone, is that true? and will they get loud enough?

i may or may not buy those cans so i dont want to buy them and then have to buy an expensive amp to drive them properly

and i may just buy the much cheaper akg k612 pro because i do gaming (as well as music listening and watching movies) and they have a larger soundstage than the hd 650.
