Could be indexing your file system. I had the same problem about a year ago.

I shut the process down now but on restarts it starts up again... damn...

I don't think so that usually takes 5 mins especially with a 250 gb ssd

I would let it run, back when I had a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD it took about a week. 

I shut the process down now but on restarts it starts up again... damn...

I don't think so that usually takes 5 mins especially with a 250 gb ssd
