Need Help Finding 1080p Monitor

Jettster

Hey,

So I'm currently using one monitor at the moment with my new build, and I was looking into getting dual monitors (for one, they look cool and also I really need the extra screen space).

I have a few preferences and concerns first of all:

Preferences:

  • DisplayPort
  • 144hz
  • 1080p
  • Good response time (1ms-5ms)

My concerns are with the paneling, the monitors I've been looking at, and just overall very cheap.

This was what I was looking at before (despite possible hate at Monoprice). The monitor used to be on sale for 179.99

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=12178&seq=1&format=2

Now, from what I was hearing around:

IPS and PLS is very good colorwise, and I would like that, but does it truly matter?

DisplayPort seems also to be superior, and I'm really preferring it, but should I have HDMI?

And finally, I want something that is cheap. Is it possible to find something under $200?

Thanks for the help,

Jettster

AOC G2460FQ. Its got 1ms gtg response time, 144hz, 24" & 1080p TN  panel. Around 180$. You are NEVER going to find an IPS 144hz panel with a low response time for under 200$.

I should probably say this: If on sale it'd be nice if it was under 200$. What are the monitors I can get, not considering the budget?

Dell U2414H. 1080p IPS 60Hz. Great stand. 99% sRGB coverage. Thin Bezels.

If you want 144Hz, you are going to have to have TN and spend $50-80 more.

IPS is far superior to TN, and a slightly higher response time will not matter in most situations. Unless you are playing CS:GO for money.
