Need Recommendation for Gaming Laptop!

soundreaper

Hi Everyone!

I am in the market for a new gaming laptop to ditch this Macbook I currently have (price doesn't matter) and I was hoping to find one that fit the following criteria:

  • Quiet
  • 15.6" or Smaller
  • Powerful enough to run Triple A title's at 60 FPS or more at 1080p
  • Not huge and thick (like Asus G751)

So far, the Aorus X3 has caught my eye but I'm not sure how much it will throttle if I keep the fans from getting really loud. Can you guys help me out?

Thank you!

I found the Schenker XMG P506. It has a quad core i7-6700HQ and a 970M. It's pretty slim.

Thank you! I'm going to see if I can figure out noisy it gets.

The MSI gs60 ghost pro (15.6") or the MSI gs40 phantom, both are thin and light gaming laptops with gtx 970m gpu's and i7-6700hq processors

any laptop gets noise - no noise = overheating. Personal recommendation - Lenovo Y700

Hey. I have the ASUS X550L. It's really thin and lightweight, and I have it in the i7 8GB version. It has a GeForce 820M under the hood, and not even branded/marketed as a gaming standard laptop. I can run GTA V on medium at 80FPS solid. It does get a little warm, but nothing to be concerned about. I also play CSGO on it at around 120-200FPS on medium. Great laptop and good for a budget.

After doing more research, the Schenker XMG P506 is my laptop of choice. Not too large, not too heavy, not noisy, thermals are great, and you can get the 8 GB GTX 980M!!!

Thank you to everyone who helped me out!
