Yeah I saw it, not sure I am too bothered about LANs, I dont really enjoy multiplayer gaming much outside of with friends

ok. just thought with you having such a beast laptop that you would be taking it to loads of lans and stuff.

Well I dont own this laptop, sending it back to MSI next week :D but I mostly use laptops for working on the move, and when travelling / holidaying / visiting friends

Great review. Great quality btw. How loud does it get at idle and at load?

If it helps I never noticed it, it does ramp up fan speed on load but honestly never to a point that I found it loud

I never had an issue with temps or throttling under normal loads

 

the machine is going back so wont be able to do anymore testing, but yeah under gaming load it never throttled for me, it can throttle when running both CPU and GPU synthetic benchmarks together like Furmark and cinebench or something but thats just never going to happen 

 

 

I dont feel qualified to comment on thermals, and I am not sure if I am running benchmarks correctly so I left that testing out, especially since it never occured during normal use

Also one small detail, you wrote in thread post it has a 4820 HQ.

TLDR - very good thin light gaming laptop, < 2" thick <2KG, very good thermals, fantastic 1080p gaming peformance in AAA games
