MSI Afterburner Profiles?

CC268

So I set two profiles up in MSI AB - 2D and 3D. 2D is just the stock GPU settings and 3D is overclocked.

So when I play games will MSI AB automatically switch me to 3D? How can I confirm this?

Also, do I need to check the "Apply overclocking at system startup"?

@30s onwards...

Set 2D to your lowest, 3D to your highest stable.

/Dunno about the checkbox..

Easy to test, leave it alone (disabled), and restart, if it uses profiles still..after setting em up,... your good. (And MSI will tell you which it loads on the monitoring graphs, when it loads it)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

yes it will automatically switch to 3D profile.

To check, get the graph, reset the numbers, play game and after look at the max numbers.

Just use the OSD to confirm the clock speed, or you can run GPU-Z in the background and check  the clock speed graph while alt-tabbing between game and desktop.

MSI AB (text pops up for a few seconds) in the monitoring section..

"Profile 1 Loaded"

or

"Profile 2 Loaded"

Run a game in a window, so you can see MSI as well.

When you see if its working, game can go back to fullscreen :)
