So is building a bitcoin mining computer better or should you get an ASIC miner, which one pays off the quickest and which one generate hash things faster (trying to sound like I know what I'm talking about)

ASIC, but it's not really viable at this point. It uses more electricity than you'll make back.

I would avoid mining bit-coins altogether. Not worth it.

I don't know too much about mining, but from what I have heard ASIC miners may cost more, but they are built for mining and will likely pay off faster and they are probably better suited for 24/7 operation.

ASIC is better, but still not worth it. Between cost of operation and cost of hardware, you won't be able to make up for the costs.

Neither makes any profit at this point. Bitcoins have been mined so heavily that the power needed to crack them is worth more than the bitcoins themselves.

Both wouldn't be worth it, unless you get a ton of ASIC miners and let them run 24/7.
