Nvidia 400 series cards are getting a little old now, I'm not sure they're worth investing any significant amount in. If it's incredibly cheap then I might get it, but I wouldn't buy it for a decent amount. It will probably handle most older games just fine, but new titles might perform poorly or even fail to run.

Not worth buying tech that old. Try and find a used 670 for cheap. Or let us know your budget and we can suggest cards for you

Well, it will run most games at 720p but not @ high settings. If it's super cheap and in good condition I guess you could get it but honestly you'd be better off getting a 5870 - same age but still has driver support from AMD (unlike the 400 and 500 series from Nvidia) and should be found for cheaper than that. Only risk is, it might have been used for bitcoin mining so yeah.

No, Not even for $50 as you can get Radeon 6000s for about the same amount that will outperform it.

That 280X would do quite well
