These days, if you're doing more than MS Word, you should have at least 8GB RAM. And I agree with @Comic_Sans_MS... Get a better CPU also.

A8s don't cost much. You can get an hp laptop with an a8-6410 4gb ram 500gb hdd for 250ish on amazon.

6 would be fine, it just depends on what you are using it for and how long you're planning on keeping it...

But seriously, you should be able to get a Lenovo with an A8 for that cash. I can get an i5 from Asus or Lenovo but the GPU would be lacking.

Its most likely running a 32-bit OS anyway, so its probably not needed tbh, but the more the merrier
