Unsuported monitors on OSX

A while back, I got my hands on a Dell 3008WFP monitor (Which I love), but the only computer I own is a Macbook pro (Musician's life...). 

Apple being Apple, they don't have native support for Dell monitors. So the monitor only worked on DVI-D at 1600x1000, with the max resolution for the monitor being 2560x1600. 

I worked on finding a way to add resolutions without using switchresx, and found a way to do it! 

As the poll says, let me know if you want me to do a tutorial for it!

Um if it wasn't clear before people here don't really care that much about macs FYI.

Wait, I didn't know they weren't plug and play. I saw reviews of my U2515H talking about use with a MacBook and such.

OSX throws a generic driver at any monitor it doesn't have a specific driver for. Dell and OSX don't like each other, so there are only two Dell monitor drivers that come default with OSX.
