Yep.

It'd take me all of 15 minutes to go back to 8.1 using install media if I so wanted to and all of my important data is backed up.

Don't see why so many enthusiasts are so frightened of trying new software - the more people who use it and report flaws, the quicker it'll be fixed so it is worthy of being used as a daily driver machine.

As I work in IT support professionally, it's up to me to ensure I am up to date with what I can support. If we stock laptops for end users on Windows 10 and I can't tell them or show them how to change their keyboard lay out, why should I be allowed to keep my job?

I"m a lowly retail employee, but I upgraded ASAP for the same reason. Its already bad enough with some of my coworkers falling for misinformation and spreading it like wildfire. IE: Microsoft is going to FORCE you to pay after a year of windows 10 otherwise they'll hold your computer for ransom. <- This is what I deal with.

Exactly that.

The number of people who I've had to "correct" because they saw the Windows logo by their clock and were crying over illuminati, privacy and other stuff...damn.

It really does pay to be informed.

It doesn't help that the demographic in my area is split evenly between the younger tech generation and the older very set in their ways generation. The young ones are fine with minimal help, but the older ones pretty much need their hand held and if one of my people is telling them that microsoft is trying to steal from them just because she happens to quite enjoy her Apple products, its a problem. Thankfully our boss is very tech savy and sees the good and bad of both windows and mac so he shuts her up.

I'll assume you're trolling on the first count...

I work at a college. Why do you ask that?

I am not trolling..

I am confused.

Do you mean using the install cd disk?

Because I am interested in how/where you work.

Do you report flaws?

And if you do, where?

"Install media" is what it is, a USB key or a CD/DVD which has been prepared using an ISO or an original OEM/retail install disk.

I'm an IT techie at a College. I implement stuff and fix it when it breaks. I report flaws in the same way any other person would if software they're using doesn't work.

I'm missing where you're confused by my situation after writing that I've installed Windows 10 on a PC to test it out and become familiar with it.

I was confused about "install media" I thought it was some program.

How do "any other person" report flaws to Microsoft (about Windows 10) then?
