K70 dying leds

linusfan69

So this question is about the Corsair's K70 mechanical keyboard.

Does the LED problem still persist in the K70 red backlight version?

If so, do you know if that's the same for the RGB version?

People around the net (especially on corsair's forum) will mostly comment on the specific blue version which was retired for this exact problem.

It's not the same for the RGB but it exists on the K70 in red.

I believe the dead LED's issue is only restricted to the Blue backlight K70. I have a red backlight variant and I dont have that issue or have never seen any dead LEDs on the red version.

I had my K70 red LED for over 2 years now and no problem with the keyboard.

My friend has the red led (with blue switches if that matters)k70 and he had some of the leds go out. Keyboard still works otherwise.

But mine is still perfect and I've had it for months.

It's still using the same LED, not all of the keyboards have the issue, but you can still get it.  I've seen threads with the red LED that have had tons of burnout issues.
