External video recorder for Nikon DSLR

Hey guys! I was wondering if you guys knew about any good 4K external recorders for DSLRs from Nikon. My model is capped at 3 mins video record at one stretch, so it's really frustrating. Do you guys know aboout any 4K external video recorders(or downscale from 4K to 1080p) that are under say, $160. Please tell me about anything you find. Thanks in advance for your help!

Being totally honest, you're not gunna find ANY 4K recorders for that price. They start around $450 minimum, closer to $800 usually.

What Nikon DSLR records in 4k? they all shoot 1080p

The cheapest external recorder I can think of is the Atomos ninja star and its $300 without any Cfast cards....

they are normally about $500 like the blackmagic video assist or ninja blade series

The actual quality is not great you would be better off just using the internal recorder. Does your camera even have clean output? If not then there is no point in a recorder unless you have money to throw away.

I don't think Nikon has even made a camera in the past few (5?) years without clean output.
