How much i need?

niloy.arifin

Recently i am switching to x99 platform....

My old rig has a 750ti and corsair vs450 watt psu.

And i m going to take both of this components into my new rig...

Now i am adding ...

5820k

Msi x99 sil plus

Gskill ripjaw ddr4 ram

And sumsung evo 850 ssd

Now my question is can this handle this components?

I used several psu calculators. All of them provide value around 360 watt.

Now please suggest me should i go for it? If not then how much is safer???

Thank u....

If you're asking if the PSU can handle it , then yes. But don't go overclocking your CPU crazy . Also i hope you have a compatible cooler .

Mostly architecture visualization work. Photoshop, autocad, archicad, 3dmax etc.

And gaming.

OK, then it is good, but definitely change the PSU, at least 550-650W for some headroom to be safe :)

It'll work for now . But when you get the money , or , at your next upgrade , get a 600W+ PSU for a little more headroom

Better to be safe than sorry :) I have a 850W PSU, it was a bit much for when I had two 970s, it is overkill for a 980Ti I have now :D and I cant get rid of it
