 Can anything get damaged by turning a PC sideways when working? (dumb thing to do, I know)

Maybe the hard drive if you turn it too fast...

Asking since I am noticing a ticking sound from my PSU (maybe some wire getting in the fan? PC boots normally tho)

yeah the connector is doing it because its not connected that good

the thing that goes into the psu

I believe If one of your disk drives is working then it could laser burn the disk. Happened to me once I think.

I believe If one of your disk drives is working then it could laser burn the disk. Happened to me once I think.

If you're referring to an optical drive, it uses lasers on discs anyways. If you're referring to hard drives, they're magnetic based.

my dad's pc has this problem when he or i move it its just bended and can disconnect easally but wont harm anything

If you mean the power plug, it's fairly well seated in place, have to force it out if I move the PC.

Should I be worried? Will that end up shortening the lifespan of components? It's fairly quiet (I have to be close to the back to be able to hear it)

It might just need lubrication like WD40, but that would involve taking the fan out of the unit and spraying the motor with it which could void your warranty.

You have to give the computer a really good jolt to cause hard drive damage as they are designed to absorb some amount of vibration and unexpected bumps.

The fans will probably be a bit wonky for a bit when you reorient them but will sort themselves out. The lifespan will not be affected in any major way at all.

Just try and do it when it's off next time.

I think I might be the one to blame here, turning my case sideways was probably a bad idea the first time and an even worse idea the 2nd time. The case fans seem to be working properly and the HDD seems to be fine buy yeah, If the system is stable and I've not had random reboots/shut downs does that mean It's all fine and dandy or will I have to wait for something to fail? (I doubt I'd get an RMA for this)

EDIT: But it's a double-ball bearing, I thought those were superior ._.

Fan ticking is not related to how well the connector is connected. If it's not connected properly, the fan won't work.
