What's the perfect setting for witcher 3 hairworks tessellation level? (editing ini files)

gilang01

The title says all. I have a 970 and I want better performance (don't we all?. What's the best tessellation setting (and AA settings) for hairworks in witcher 3? Cause the tessellation level for in game is 64x coupled with 8 X MSAA

Nvidia has no specific Tess level, and there aren't any in the INI files.  Turn the AA down to 2 for HairWorks and I've managed to maintain 60fps 99% of the time with an OC'd 970.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

The HW in the .ini files is about the AA used, not the level of tessellation used.

Using 2x AA on hair does look like balls, but 4x gives a nice boost over the default 8xAA.

And doesn't look that horrible.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I think optimum is x16 tessellation with x4 AA. But i don't know of any way for non-AMD users to optimize hairworks. Let's see what the next patch brings...
