Worth getting Xbox or PS3 for GTA V and some other games?

I'd really just wait with GTA 5... they're waiting with next gen console release and PC since it'll get them more money, which is something you can't blame them for. 

At first I suspect there to be a lot of bugs anyway, ones that make you like the game less - if you don't experience that firsthand by waiting a few months you will enjoy the game far better.

Also mods and tweaks will be implemented by the time you buy it - improving the game.

 

Besides, why would you buy an ancient console to experience crappy graphics on a game that would be much more fun on a PC?

Don't even throw that "BUT I LIKE THE CONTROLLER!!!" argument at me, PC supports that controller.

YES I am hyped but the wait is surely worth it I bet!

I used have an Xbox 360 but I switched to PC gaming so decided to sell my 360. Now that it looks like GTA V is going to come out on PC in about 6 months time I don't think I can wait that long. I have also owned a PS3 and have no idea what to choice from. I have more friends on the 360 but on the PS3 there are more games for me to buy, for example ps3 exclusives that I have never got to play and plus on the 360 I don't see much point in getting other games like 3rd party as I play those on my PC. One more thing for me to consider is that the 360 (60gb model) is £55 and PS3 (160gb model) £90.

I would personally get the 360 because my friends, like yours, play Xbox. I don't see the point in playing games without friends to play with (except for solo games of course)

I am a PC Gamer. If I had the spare money, I would buy an old xbox 360 (Or a brand-new Star Wars one) just for GTA V as all my friends will be talking about it and playing it and I'd really feel left out. But I'm a hardcore GTA fan, completed them all except GTA II.

I preorded it for free on ps3 because when I traded in all my xbox games, they gave me £70 instead of £50 but only if I wanted to pre order GTA5 for free.

what that means is "The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release.-it will be released on other consoles and pc later around christmas once people have already bought it for thier old consoles"

okay okay i wont repeat myself, theyre just going to release it for the old consoles and wait for everyone to go mad and have huge sales, they will then release it for the consoles in november once theyre available and they will probably release it for pc around christmas eve or maybe Q2 next year.

I'd say wait it out and finish all the other games we have at the moment, its not that differnt technicaly from gta4 (considering mods), theyre taking a page out of nintendos book and milking the franchise.

i would say yes it is worth to buy an xbox for gta 5 because now the current gen consoles are just going down in price so they are really cheap not to mention a pre owned one is really cheap so i would go for it cause i know gta 5 will be worth it

buy pre owned , brand new the xbox and ps3 are exspensive , but you can get great pre owned deals in the run up to november becuse a ton of people are selling them in order to raise money for the next gen.

None exist for PS3/Xbox 360. Older consoles (PS2, PSOne, original Xbox) do have emulators.

If you really can't wait for it to come PC I say get a 360 that works and without a HDD.  You can use a up to 32 gb of a flashdrive for memory and you can save some money.
