Good PC With Loose Price Range

I am planning to build a computer. I'm not a noob but I'm still new. If you have any suggested PCPartPicker links or builds you made please send them to me. I will try to look at all. The price range varies from 1K to 2.5K. This PC will be for mainly gaming but with light video editing. I want to hit at least 60 FPS at 1440p.

$1,000 theoretical build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3k2p4D

$2,000 theoretical build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8v6CVn

$2,500 theoretical build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4KRLBm

Thanks, and please help! :D

I'm very satisfied with my build. You can take a look at it if you want to. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z3zYBm

Thanks! I'll look into it! It could also help to criticize my builds, I need to learn more about building PCs.

How is the Superclocked 980 for gaming?

I'll take a look at your builds, but I'm no expert myself.

The only graphic heavy game I have tested is GTA V and it runs as expected. I can't max it out at 60 fps, but it really does what it's supposed to do.

I don't know how much money I will have to spend.

What do you want to achieve? Work machine, gaming machine?

What resolution? 1080p? Triple 1080p? 4k?

If you don't have a set budget, what you want to achieve will really help narrow down. Because I'm.assuming you are able to pay up to that 2-2.5k, but would rather spend as little as possible?

There is room for improvement in pretty much all three builds. I took your $2,500 build though and trimmed it down a bit. Switched your video card to a GTX 980 and monitor to the Acer XB270HU 1440p 144Hz IPS G-sync. I own one and love it. My build in sig handles 1440p without issue with the same video card and processor (overclocked of course). You could also easily get away with 8gb of ram, 16gb isn't really needed yet and more can be added later.

Also, don't spend $230 on a keyboard and mouse. In my opinion that money is better spend on something that affects performance.

Thank you! I'm not sure about the choice of using the GTX 980 but I will look more into it.

I would prefer having a better keyboard and mouse, but what is in the build is usable. The monitor is good though, I can forgive it's 4ms response time because it is IPS.

The monitor really is the best gaming option out there right now for Nvidia users, I don't regret spending $720 for a second.

I have the same keyboard/mouse bundle. It's not the greatest in the world, but for the price it is a quality product and hasn't given me any issues. The backlight is nice too.
