Weird audio problems

Eldon3379

So here is how it started this time,  I was listening to music and I heard a deep kind of bump sound of sorts and suddenly the music sounded like it was coming from above me about 20° to the left. I have no idea what caused this as I had my hands off the keyboard and mouse at the time and after a several restarts and double checking of cables the problem had not been fixed

I've had some other similar problems in the past but never have found a distinctive fix for the problem, its more like hiding them under the rug.

I did some more testing in CSGO and found that the sound was unidirectional(cardioid) and I've had going bidirectional at times in ArmA 2 a while back.

The problem is that I don't know of any options really to mess around with and see if I can fix this and I don't know if its hardware or drivers or whatever.

I have tested this on two different headsets and both have the same problem.

Also in CSGO when the sound is unidirectional it has amazing directional quality, to the point that I would describe "normal" sound I was use to as unclear and muddy. Getting that working in omnidirectional would be amazing if there is something I can I to get that

I have every once in a while when my audio completely messes up, goes static and gets louder but I can still roughly tell sounds and the only fix I have found to this is to restart the computer.

Some fixes for this stuff would be a fantastic.

Info:

Win 8.1 64 bit

G1 sniper M5 motherboard

GTX 770 windforce

i7 4770k

(no audio card)

if any more information is needed just ask.

Thanks

Try searchng for your sound drivers, it's like realtek. It is a program to configure your sound settings.

Maybe search for those programs for your computer and if you find it you can mess a bit with your settings in the program.
