Windscreen for Headset Mic

Hieb

Got my friend a Steelseries Siberia and it picks up a lot of his breathing which is annoying. So does anyone know where in Canada I can get a basic windscreen for it or a little pad of the right kind of foam I can cut and use an elastic to attach to it?

Maybe you should tell your friend not to eat his mic. The mic should be on the bottom corner of his mouth

Haven't tried this but maybe you could use the end of a sock and some tape

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

I've actually heard this working for some standalone mics that are much larger than ones on a headset so mileage may vary.

Amazon has a fair few windscreens, though the hardest part would probably be to get the size right. SteelSeries mics are what, 1/8"? Luckily they're not all that long, so there should be something he can use.

Just use a EQ software to bring down the frequencies of his breathing.

The Dick of the audio page!
