Hello guys!

Recently i bought a gopro hero 4 silver music edition!

I was dissapointed in my self that the music edition doesn't come with the waterproof case"facepalm"

Im looking into buying a after market casing but i have a question!

Most of the casing come with a black thingy on the back!

Will it matter if i put a silver edition camera with a screen in it or do you need to buy a more expencive one with no black thingy in it?

Uh, that black thingy is just a shock absorbing pad that holds the camera in place so it doesn't rattle in the case. We have the 3 Black with the official case and it comes with the pad.

yes it will, getting a original one(form gopro store) allows you to get one without the black foam on that location on the back.

damage? hmm small chance since the foam is supposed to be there for protection, although you could remove it if wanted, but that might void warranty on the case.

 

you might be able to find 3rd party cases without the foam though if they are dedicated for the 4 (silver) since its the only model that has the screen on it, this case seems more aimed at the hero 3 series and before, where the screen still is/was a add-on purchase.
