NZXT S340 or Phanteks enthoo pro

I like the size of the S340 but what i've heard its flimsy but no 5.25" bays does it really matter in 2015?

which case has best air flow and silence?

which has best rad support?

this is my first build and if my case lasts I might use it in my next build from linus's video the S340 scratches easily on the top

Thanks!   :P

The s340 is a more budget oriented case and although it is small and pretty, the enthoo pro will give you a much better performance and features as well as quality for your money. 5.25 inch bays aren't as essential as they used to be but some people like them for things like DC fan control and LED controllers but it's really personal preference. If size is a concern for you may I suggest the fractal design Arc Midi R2? or even the NZXT h440. Both of these cases are smaller than the Pro and offer very solid options for cooling.

The S340 has better airflow and the Enthoo Pro has better rad support.

Enthoo Pro.  I also say the Enthoo Pro has much better airflow than the S340, which is basically a rehash of the H440, which is notorious for poor airflow.

The Enthoo Pro is more of an investment chassis.  It has tons of room to be built into and will last you a very long time with lots of upgradability and flexibility.

The S340 has large openings at the top and bottom behind the front unlike the H440 and is more shallow with less dead space. It has better airflow than many cases.

The Enthoo Pro is much deeper and airflow drops exponentially in effectiveness with distance.

Ahh didn't know that about the S340.

The Pro has mounting for two more 120mm fans on the HDD cages, I don't think airflow is an issue in this chassis.

Airflow isn't an issue but smaller and more compact cases tend to cool better.

That is way too much of an overgeneralization and way too many variables can play a part in this.  Large chassis are also very good because they allow the components more room to breathe, and can potentially have room for more fans which helps airflow.

Excessive space in cases will need more fan power for the same amount of cooling--that applies in all cases.

Also, you might want to reread what I posted.

Compact cases tend to cool better due to generally less excess space.

I missed that tend part.

My S340 is about 5-10 degrees warmer than my C70 was.

Though it has excellent airflow.

Were you using the same components and fans or was there any change in ambient temps?

Same Corsair stock fans, and same core clocks on GPUs and CPU.

The S340 is more sealed with a designated intake and exhaust.

Unlike the C70 which just let out air everywhere.
