Need help building my first build

Hzulqa

1. Budget & Location
My budget would be around $800, could go above like $10 but I would prefer less than that. USD for currency.

2. Aim
Would be playing games.  GTA V with mods, Far Cry 4, Skyrim with mods, Minecraft, League of legends, and many other games I'm sure.

3. Monitors
I would really only have the budget for one monitor.

4. Peripherals
I would need a mouse, keyboard, and a monitor.

5. Why are you upgrading?
Because I have a Mac

is the $800 including the monitor and peripherals

If its including the monitor and peripherals you might want a little bit higher of a budget than that for what your doing.

Does the $800 include Windows, monitor, and peripherals?

I'm guessing you're including windows. You will have to spend about $250 on the monitor and peripherals, and Windows.

You can get a cheaper Motherboard but if you plan to do some overclocking that Motherboard would do a descent job.

Thanks Demons Wrath, I was wondering how this build would be.  I've heard Intel can handle more bit more than AMD so I would love you feedback.

Can someone help me out. I'm a little new to CPUs, but why does an AMD processor cost so much less. For example:

A quad core 3.5ghz Intel processor could go easily for $200 plus.

A 8 core 3.2 ghz AMD processor goes for $150 or less.

What am I missing?

Intel has much higher performance per core. You really don't need more than 4 cores for gaming unless you're video rendering or streaming.
