1080p 144hz monitor wanted

Because Retarded

Hey, I'm looking for a 1080p 144hz monitor, new but as cheap as possible.

Budget would be below 300€ and that's why I thought about getting the iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU-B1.

My actual monitor runs 75hz oc'ed and that's a waste with two gtx 970's. Because Retarded I guess =)

So, any recommendations?

Thanks!

yeah don't bother upgrading unless you're willing to save up a bit more and get a 1440p 144hz monitor.

1080p is wasted on sli 970s. may as well sell 1 and have a larger budget if you want 1080p.

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

I don't want 1440p considering BF4 1080p maxed out isn't constantly over 144 fps. I'm not even running aa.

I haven't bought Hardline yet but the beta was even a little bit more demanding.

Selling one 970 wouldn't do me any favours.  I have 300€ now which means I could buy an 144hz/1080p monitor.

Buying a 1440p/144hz on the other side would be kind of pointless, because there would be pretty much no aaa title where I could keep the frames.

you dont have to constantly hit 144fps to benefit from 144hz.. anything above 60 is a benefit. even like 100fps at 1440p is damn amazing..

I belive you but I'm not gonna spend 600+ on something where I can't even use the full potential.

Then I suspect you're going for a G-Sync monitor since you have Nvidia cards, making the visuals extra crisp. I recommend Acer XB270H and BenQ XL24020G. If I had to choose one of them I'd personally go for the BenQ. But check out the specs on both, they're both amazing monitors!

Other than that I totally agree with Badger 906, going for a 1440p, Asus Swift as an example, is really worth it even if you lose like 20-40fps. And with 2 970 you should be more than fine. Speaking from experience with ONE GTX 970 playing on a 1440p Swift. And I'd personally say that getting extra quality with 1440p in exchange for a few fps is greatly worth it. And losing those fps wont make the gaming experience worse, thanks to 1440p it will probably be better than ever for you.

But that's just me ranting and personal opinions! If you want the best 1080p for SLI 970 I'd recommend those. If not 1080 I'd with personal experience recommend Asus Swift!

I literally doubled my FPS when unparking my CPU Cores and adding that simple line of text, I shit you not.

P.S With that kind of build, going 1080p is a waste.

1080p 144Hz with 1 970 is enough tbh

Seriously, you are wrong. Cores are unparked because of ARMA 3.

Yeah, it is a waste in a way but all I want is highest fps possible in BF.

Is g-sync really worth the premium?

Maybe I change my opinion on the resolution if my friend get's his Acer Predator XB270HUbprz.

I guess I just gonna wait until that happens and decide then.

I assume this is BF specific? or will UPing cores help across the board?
