Mechanical Keyboard Modding

As I have been searching the wide web instead of studying, I haven't been able to find many detailed guides on how to mod mechanical keyboards to change switch type etc, I think it is a great opportunity for the LTT team to do a really nice high quality guide on how to mod the crap out of a filco majestousuch, or something along those lines, I personally think that would be AWESOME.

P.S. Does anyone now if you can do this on a Corsair K70? I would love to change it to green switches for typing.

You can replace the stem and spring if you don't want to solder every switch individually

I know, I just am not sure if you can do this with the K70 as I think it is a plate mounted switch rather than a PCB mount.

You'd have to desolder all the switches first unless they made the plate cutouts so that you can access the sides with tweezers or a small screwdriver (which is not likely)

I'd love to see if there's a way to do this. I really want Cherry MX clear switches on the K95 RGB, while keeping the RGB and the clear switch covers that the K series RGB boards are using. I'd probably go to great lengths to make it happen.

@projectfruitloops don't forget to follow your topics as well. Top right corner-ish area of the screen.
