What is the best value APU + Motherboard combo?

I'm looking at the 7700k and the MSI A78M-E35. Would this work well or is there a better combo for the price?

Edit: I'm in Australia, buying from PCCG only.

for the A10

get the highest 7850K

as the difference between the 7700 and 7850 is huge in terms of iGPU power

384 Cores vs 512 Cores in the 7850K

also A78 VRMs are not enough to power the A10

only A88X full ATX mobos with Heatsinked VRMs are the best for A10 with OC too

Pick the A10-7850k + Asrock A88X Extreme 4

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

if you really want apu, and with the fm2 socket, buy a10 6800k

or change mobo and get f2a88 from asrock and buy kaveri 7850k

At stock speeds, A78 VRMs are perfectly capable of handling A10.

Probably should've said I'm in Australia and buying from PCCG. Neither of those are available here

The main reasoning is that most "light games" and all of web browsing isn't going to use more then two cores anyways.

Ok cool, so do you think overclocking on that MSI board would be ok or would I need something with VRM heatsinks?

Also what do you think of the 7600?

I would get something with VRM heatsinks if you want to overclock, but keep in mind you'll also need a K chip.

The 7600 is a decent chip but won't make a noticeable difference over the 7300 when using lightly-threaded applications. The iGPU is better then the iGPU on the A4 but not as good as a dedicated 250X

Fair enough. I think the 7600 is probably the best for me right now after looking at some benchmarks. I'm assuming the MSI board would be ok for that? I know nothing on the CPU side of AMD haha
