i recently purchased a crucial m500 m.2 ssd to put in my asus z97i-plus mobo but i couldnt get the little screw to hold it down as it seemed to short

Coz i only believe the mobo only supports mPCI-E

are you using the iTX board or the normal Z97 board?

it fits into the slot and lines up with the screw hole perfectly but the screw seems to short

that will be crude

 

go to the hardware store and look ofr similar size screws but with longer treads
