So im in the market for a new GPU. The only thing holding me back is the games I play are built mostly around nvidia
But I can get a 290 for about 310(http://amzn.to/1Bt87ai) so Im torn.
edit: USD pricing so....

I just felt like I needed somthing here

I personally would go for a GTX 970 since I like the features and power it offers but for $300 that's a killer deal...

I still would go with a GTX 970, might want to wait for more opinions though.

Both cards are great. But the 970 is stronger, runs cooler, saves you power bill and works best with the games you play. So for only 30~40$, you can get a much better deal.

 

If you think about it, it's not much. It might even pay itself over time, due to lower TDP.
