Parts For a 3D Rendering PC

HectiKCookiE

So i have around $1000 to buy a CPU, MOBO and maybe Ram and GPU.

I've started doing some 3D work in Cinema 4D and I'm really liking it but my current pc is not up to it, it took 4 hours to render a 5 second video?!?!?!

Do i need a new CPU, will it make a difference? -current AMD FX-8320 @ 4.5ghz

Do i need more ram? -current 16gb Q.Skill Ripjaws X @ 1866mhz

Do i need a new GPU, will it make a difference? -current AMD R9 290X 4gb

Plz help me, i have no clue about all this 3D rendering stuff!!

P.S i don't mind getting a Xeon or Firepro/quadro if its in the budget.

I don't think that changing the GPU will lower your rendering, as you already have a great GPU.

Just an idea!

i7 5930k 6 cores -> $579 ( 40 PCI-e slots )

MSI X99S X99 -> $370 ( Great for OC )

Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 2400 -> $225 ( 16gb to start )

Hes from aus. Prices are WAY different than here in the US. A 5930K costs over 790$ there. Wouldnt have enough cash to get the cpu and motherboard, and GPU to render.

Alright.

So lets start with the rational behind the choices so you're not just getting blind opinions on what to buy/build.

Memory;  Content creation, more specifically rendering and video creation relies heavily on the CPU and the RAM volume and speed. So lets start out by doubling the ram to 32gbs

http://ijk.com.au/branch/ijk/product_info.php?products_id=140086   ($359.00)

Motherboard;  The reason for going with this board is simply because it's great for the cost. It offers a good set of features, decent overclocking capacity to squeeze every drop of performance out of your chip, and enough built in fan headers to cool your entire house. That and for the cost, there's no reason to go anywhere else, i use one in my personal editing rig, couldn't be happier.

http://www.mwave.com.au/product/asrock-z97anniversary-intel-lga-1150-atx-motherboard-ab55840   ($129.00)

CPU Cooling;   This AOI is a superb design, and is widely regarded as one of the quietest and an all around great contender you can get for less than $150usd or otherwise. And you'll need that extra cooling performance to allow you to overlclock your CPU to get literally, every bit of performance out of it.

http://cplonline.com.au/corsair-hydro-series-h60-se-cpu-cooler.html    ($95.00)

CPU;  By far the hardest piece of tech to choose from. I eventually fell to the 4790K, a 4 core behemoth of a cpu, offering some of the best single core performance on the market. Quite frankly, it's not what i would recommend for a strictly editing station as it's single short coming is only have 4 cores. But it's overall performance more than makes up and puts it on par with many other multicore solutions. For this price point, you're not going to get any better period.

Apologies for that taking so long. Made a run to the store.

EDIT**

In all, that would make a fine work station. In the future if you still want to render you can get yourself a 780 or 780ti for cuda acceleration. For all intents and purposes that is a mighty fine station to work on; The cpu will last you for years to come, whereas the only foreseeable upgrade i could imagine in a few months could be pulling together some cash and nabbing that 780/780ti for cheap acceleration.

Can you help me like this?! I'm also building a machine for 3d work (autocad). This is my pcpartpicker so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/R2J4jX
