Need Home Theater help!

I need a home theater with 5-7 speakers and a sub woofer. Also the home theater doc thing, like the main hub that goes under the TV. I really know nothing about speakers and home theater setups, i need one for around ~$300. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!

I'm quite happy with my Sony DAVTZ-140 Home Theatre system, it doesn't cost much and it works well with the room.
